The artist realised that the cloth shrinks as it is squeezed using the tie-dye technique, and created a dome-shaped flower in full bloom.
The tie-dyeing process is completed over a long period of time, facing the work one by one. I felt that this was similar to the prayer-like feeling of Shakyo, in which each character is copied one by one. I believe that flowers have the power to calm and heal people's feelings. As this work is being exhibited in a hospital, I squeezed each piece while praying that the people who saw it would feel better. The Praying Flowers series was exhibited in different places in different locations.
